In light of recent guidance from state officials, we wanted to reassure you that we at City Veterinary Hospital are here to serve you and your pets. Our hospital remains open at this time.

To support the health and safety of you, your pets, and our team members, we have implemented strict intake procedures – see below – and updated our health and safety guidelines in direct response to the emergence and evolution of the Coronavirus (COVID-19):

  • CALL AHEAD: If you have a scheduled appointment, please call 210-225-6531 in advance to discuss options and intake procedures
  • SIGNS/SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19: If you are showing symptoms of COVID-19, please identify a healthy surrogate to bring your pet to our practice
  • NO LOBBY WAITING AREA: Limiting the number of persons in our lobby
  • ONE CLIENT PER HOUSEHOLD: We ask that only one person accompany the pet(s) with an appointment

We are aligned with the American Veterinary Medical Association that published a statement on March 17 regarding veterinary hospitals as “essential service” and want to ensure you are supported in this unprecedented time. We continue tracking and diligently following guidance set forth by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Caring for you, your pets, and our team members is the cornerstone of our culture. At this time, we’ll need everyone’s help to do that.

Thank you for your help in ensuring the continued good health of our community and our pets.
